Bob & Leny drove Jef to Socorro NM to help put together grandson Thor's new playset this summer.

Bob's last grandkid, Logan was born in January of this year
By this time, Bob had established his morning breakfast:
Muesli
Traveling in Europe, I became acquainted with a dry breakfast food which is not easily available in the USA. Apparent reason is that acquired tastes, no matter how beneficial they are, do not compete with profitable established advertised and widely marketed brands. So, in desperation, I have devised the following substitute recipe for home-made-Muesli which requires about a half hour per person per month .....
Equipment:
- 6 empty rolled oat containers with plastic lids
- Large bowl, long handle spoon
Ingredients:
- 2 pounds old-fashioned rolled oats
- 1 pound raisins or dried currants
- 1 pound package of oat bran
- 1 pound package of all-bran flakes
- 1 half-pound package of Metamucil
- And an imaginative assortment of sunflower seeds, sliced almonds et cetera
On a spacious counter top circle the bowl with the 6 lidless containers, dump and apportion package contents of oats, oat bran, flakes into the circle of empty containers.
By hand separate sticky raisins or currants into bowl and stir into this the pound of oat bran, and spoon equal amounts into the 6 containers
Stir vigorously the dry contents of the 6 containers, then with the lids secured, rotate the cylindrical containers endwise a dozen times to further mix, the store containers in a dry place
Each morning I grab a handful of this mix and pop it into a bowl, I then pour a pyramid of non-fat dry milk atop this, either cut a banana into 26 slices, or add about 30 frozen blueberries and stir in a tumbler of ice water.

Leny with Bob's son Jef walking with Thor and daughter Julie & husband Doug(holding son Logan) at St. Vincents. Bob had gotten prostate treatments at this hopital over past 13 years. He would get heart surgery here 10 years in the future at the same time Leny would be diagnosed here with terminal cancer.

Bob bought the lot next door. He created a cinder-block staircase to reach the old Sierra Club trail which led to an old amphitheatre. Son Jef helped him find his new corner post at the edge of this amphitheatre in August of this year.

In March of this year, daughter Julie & her sons Thor & Logan visited Bob an Leny on Landa St. accompanied by son Jef. Occasion was spring break trip for Thor.
