BSTC BANQUET
The Borrego SPrings Tennis Club banquet will be held on Saturday, April 15 at Borrego Springs Resort Hotel and Country CLub on TIlting T Drive. Cocktail hour will be 6:15 to 7:00 P.M. Dinner will be served at 7:00 P.M. We will have dinner in the Fireside Lounge where there is a bar for those who would like to order wine or other drinks - you will pay for those when you order them. If you don't already have reservations and would like to attend, phone Trish Azar at (619)469-1957 or email her at razaretep@aol.com or send Trish a postcard at 2556 Katherine Ct., El Cajon, CA 92020 and tell her you would like to be included. The price is $18.80 per person and you have a choice of stuffed chicken or filet of sirloin. We hope to have a great turnout for our end of the year banquet.
BSTC TREASURER'S REPORT
Fred Wnatland, our treasurer, reported that we started out the year with $2,005,004, and finished with $2.45. He called from Rio.... April fools!
Fred Wantland, our treasurer, actually reported that we started out the year with $5600 and we are now down to $3200. We pay $1200 per tournament for use of the tennis facility. We would like for our balance to remain fairly stable and Fred suggested that we think about the possibility of raising our dues. The dues are currently $50 per member. We charge $10 per person tournament fee, $10 per night for RV camping and $7.50 per night for tent camping. Please consider this proposal, we will discuss it at the next tournament.
SAN CLEMENTE CAMPOUT
Our annual San Clemente State Beach campout will be held this year starting Thursday, September 21 for 4 nights. You may come earlier and/or stay later if you wish. Call the California State Park System for reservations at 1-800-444-7275. Remember to ask for the hook-up area and if you qualify (age 62+) ask for senior rates. We always have a great turnout and we look forward to seeing many of you there to enjoy the beach, cookouts, tennis and fun with good friends.
$100 DRAWING
At the last tournament of the season in April we will have a $100 drawing. To be eligible for this drawing you must have played in all six tournaments this season. According to our records, the following people are eligible for the $100 drawing:
