BSTC APRIL BANQUET

Our annual end of the season banquet will be held at Palm Canyon Resort across the street from the tennis center on Saturday, April 27 at 7:00 P.M. If you haven’t already made your reservations, phone or email Betty Minkel to see whether you can still make a reservation. The price is $24 per person. Betty’s phone number is 909-927-1449 and her email address is bjmink@dslextreme.com. We hope to have a great turnout for our banquet!

APRIL TOURNAMENT-APRIL 27 & 28

The April tournament will be held April 27 & 28, 2002. It will be Ladies Doubles and Mens Doubles. If you are planning to play, please sign up by Friday, April 26 at 7:30 P.M. at the clubhouse in Borrego Springs. If you cannot be at the clubhouse by 7:30 P.M., please ask someone who will be there to sign up for you. You may also sign up by phoning Gary Edwards at home at 629-390-8412 before Thursday of that week or trying his cell phone at 629-992-8412. PLEASE LET GARY KNOW WHETHER YOU ARE COMING BY 7:30 P.M. SO THAT HE CAN BEGIN THE DRAW. The draw will be completed by 9:00 P.M. and play will begin on Saturday at 8:00 A.M. We hope to have a great attendance at the last tournament of the season!

SAN CLEMENTE CAMPOUT – SEPTEMBER 26-30

We are planning to have our annual campout at San Clemente State Beach in September. This is not a tournament, but an extra event that we have enjoyed for several years. We plan to be there on September 26 for 4 nights. Of course you may come earlier and/or stay later. The California State Park Reservation System began taking reservations for September on March 1, so if you don’t already have reservations phone them at 1-800-444-7275 to see whether there are any sites available. Remember to ask for the hook-up area and if you qualify (62+) ask for senior rates. We look forward to a great turnout for the beach, cookout, tennis & fun with BSTC friends! We usually have cookout on Saturday night so even if you don’t camp with us, try to join us Saturday night for the cookout. We ask everyone to bring their own main course to barbecue, a side dish to share with the group, your own drinks, plates and utensils. Also if you have small barbecue and/or a lantern, please bring that with you. We usually try to gather about 6:00 P.M. For those of you who don’t camp, there are several motels in San Clemente close to San Clemente State Beach.
