We had a great April tournament with 24 men and 27 women entered. The tennis facility looks great with newly surfaced courts, windscreens on all courts and beautiful landscaping - thank you Borden & Sandi Granger! The weather was pleasant although a little breezy on Saturday, but Sunday was a perfect day for tennis. We'll take the summer off and hope to see many of you back next October and hopefully some of you who were not able to join us will return next season! The BSTC banquet at Palm Canyon was wonderful thanks to Betty Minkel who made those arrangements - thank you Betty!

SAN CLEMENTE CAMPOUTWe hope you make plans to join us at out annual campout at San Clemente State Beach in September. This is not a tournament, but an extra event that we have enjoyed for several years. We plan to be there on September 26 for 4 nights. Some pople may come earlier and/or leave later. For campground reservations, phone 1-800-444-7275 - we will be in the hook-up area and if you qualify (62+) ask for senior rates. We usually have a cookout on Saturday night, so even if you don't camp with us, try to join us Saturday night for the cookout. We ask everyone to bring your own main course to barbecue, a side dish to share with the group, your own drinks, plates and utensils. Also if you have a small barbecue and/or a lantern, please bring that with you. e will be at the picnic area on the bluff below the campground and will gather about 6:00 P.M. For those of you who don't camp, there are several motels in San Clemente close to San Clemente State Beach. Have a great summer and hope to see you in September in San Clemente!
