JANUARY TOURNAMENT

The January tournament will be held on January 16 & 17. It will be a mixed doubles tournament. If you would like to play, sign up by 7:00 P.M. Friday, January 15 in the clubhouse or ask someone to sign up for you. The draw will be announced about 9:00 P.M. Friday night and matches will begin at 8 A.M. on Saturday, January 16. We look forward to a great new year of tennis in 1999!

BSTC MEMBERSHIP & TOURNAMENT FEES

Please try to pay your tournament fees on Friday night before the tournament to JaNell Acosta. Tournament fees are $10 per person, camping fees are $10 per night for RVs and $7.50 per night for tents. If you haven't already paid your membership dues for the 1998-99 season, please pay JaNell at the tournament or send your check for $50 per member made out to Borrego Springs Tennis Club to:

TENNIS CLINICS

We have been notified that Jerry, the tennis pro at Borrego Springs Resort, has agreed to give the ladies in our club a special price for his tennis clinics. The clinics are held Tuesday through Sunday from 8:00 to 10:00 A.M. The special price for our group will be $15.00 per person.

DECEMBER & JANUARY HIKES

The December hike took seven of our members up the gentle sloping ravine in Glorietta Canyon to the first juniper - approximately one mile. For the January hike a late afternoon trek is planned to Fonts Point to see a glorious sunset. We plan to meet at the RV camping area behind the tennis center at 4:15 P.M. on Friday, January 15. Be prepared for cool, possibly windy weather - dress warmly. However, good weather has been ordered!
