MARCH TOURNAMENT

The March tournament will be a mixed doubles tournament to be held on March 20 & 21. Please sign up by Friday night in the clubhouse, have someone sign up for you or call Gary Edwards after 5P.M. on Friday at (619)992-8412. The draw will be held about 9:00 P.M. and play will start Saturday morning at 8:00 A.M.

BSTC FULLERTON TOURNAMENT

John Schultz announced that a BSTC tournament will be held in Fullerton again this year as it was 2 years ago. The dates are May 21, 22 and 23. He has reserved the Fullerton Community College tennis courts for this tournament and hopes to see many of you there. We will have more details in the next newsletter.

SAN CLEMENTE CAMPOUT

Our annual San Clemente Campout will be held this year beginning Thursday, September 9 for 4 nights at San Clemente State Beach. Plan to join us for camping, beach, bike rides & tennis!. You may make your reservations beginning in March by calling PARKNET Reservations System at 1-800-444-7275. Ask for the hook-up area and if you qualify (age 62+), ask for the senior discount. Don’t forget your tennis racquet! Hope to see you there!

MARCH HIKE

Jeff Johnson will lead a hike into Tub Canyon on Friday, March 19. If you are interested in going on the hike, meet Jeff and/or Ruth at the tennis center at 8:00 A.M. on Friday, March 19.

BORREGO SPRINGS TENNIS CLUB BANQUET

Our tennis club banquet will be held on Saturday, April 24 at The Palms at Indianhead this year. Dinner will be served at poolside if the weather is nice. Cocktail hour will be 6:15 to 7:00P.M. Dinner will be served at 7:00 P.M. Members will receive separate checks at the banquet, but we do need to know how many dinners to order. All dinners include green salad with house dressing and the vegetable of the day. Beverage and dessert are extra if desired. Beer and wine are available – no-host bar. There is a 28% charge on each bill for tax and gratuity. The choices for dinner are as follows:

Orange Roughy with rice	$15.95
Pork Tenderloin with red roasted potatoes	$14.95
Chicken Marsala with garlic mashed potatoes	$13.95
