Each season we have a $100 drawing for the people who have played in all six tournaments that year. Pete Azar won the drawing for the $100 prize. Congratulations, Pete!
NOVEMBER TOURNAMENT
The first tournament of the season will be mixed doubles on November 6 & 7. Sign up in the clubhouse on Friday night before 9:00 P.M. or have someone sign up for you. Play begins Saturday at 8:00 A.M.

SAN CLEMENTE CAMPOUT
Our campout at San Clemente State Beach on September 8-13 was a huge success! We had 31 people camping. Friday night we had a wonderful corned beef and cabbage dinner prepared by Barbara McCary and 28 of us enjoyed a delightful evening at Dave & Barbara's. They have hosted the group year after year when we camp in San Clemente and in appreciation, the club presented them with a $50 gift certificate to The Fisherman Restaurant - thank you! On Saturday night we had a cookout at the campground and there were 46 in attendance. The weather was beautiful, the food delicious and everyone had a terrific time!
BSTC 1999-2000
Fred Wantland reported that we have reached an agreement for the use of the tennis club again this year with a slight increase of $100 per tournament. We will be paying $1200 per tournament for the use of the club. Our dues will remain at $50 per member and tournament fees will be $10 per person. Camping fees will be $10 per night for RVs and $7.50 per night for tents. You may pay your dues at the first tournament in November or send a check made out to Borrego Springs Tennis Club for $50 per member to:

IN MEMORY
We regret to report the death of Marty Acosta on June 30, 1999. Marty was a long time member and will be missed by each of us. We will miss his terrific playing, his enthusiasm, and most of all, his friendship. Our thoughts and prayers are with JaNell and we look forward to seeing her in Borrego.
