FRIDAYOctober 10, 2008

"Lost Boy" campfire
After Jefe, Kathy and Holley arrived at party, we visited the "Lost Boy" campfire where Raymo was waxing on the past. Raymo then showed Jefe his and Erik's latest version of "Finnish Army Sauna", where Jefe wound up next to stovepipe that periodically ignited wood liner. He directed others in sauna to pass him water, so he could put it out.

After spending a cool night, coffee in the morning, and a round of cannon shooting, Kathy suggested a road trip.

SATURDAYOctober 11, 2008

Cervezas at our first stop

Some other "goings on" we saw on trip
After stopping to check out some of the debris along the dirt road surrounding the lake we were circumnavigating, Paco and Miguel egged Kathy on to bypassing signs forbidding entry onto the private missile range, some pix are site were obtained. We left as soon as the local militia started mobilizing.

To complete the circumnavigation, we had to cross into this, what we found out later to be, abandonned farm.

Checking it out

Our next obstacle was the railroad tracks. We followed them for over a mile to find a way over them.
