April 2001 Cannon Party
April 6 - 8, 2001

Although my camera broke on the first day, here are a few pix. Note the FLYING SAUCER clouds seen on April 6. This indicates probable rain. It started raining early the next morning. Two cannons eventually made it on the 7th. All that was here on the 6th was this cannon stand, which looked like it came from the Monitor, or the War Wagon. Unfortuneately, Esteban didn't bring the barrel down, as he didn't think Mark would get it ready in time.

After I complained that Esteban hadn't provided us with any automotive disaster stories, he took it upon himself to race up the wash, and cut a corner too quickly. He sliced both tires on his left on a sharp rock. Paco and Steve got to relive old times by searching the desert towns for the somewhat rare tires on a Sunday. They succeeded after about 4 hours. Way to go, Stevie! Finally, a REAL cannon party.
