Cannon Party, Fall 2000

Over the weekend of October 20 - 22, 2000 about 40 people visited the homestead. Team Heyob, Team Mulvey and Team Jones each provided cannons, and each projected several dozen shells at the new target. Mr. Cassidy launched several bowling balls, some with excess of 25 second hang times. Rocket plane and rockets were there as well.

Weather was windy the whole time, starting to get chilly Saturday night. Very strong winds developed late Saturday night, where Jef woke up with his tent stopped by a bush, and one tent pole broken. The neighbors came up seeking relief from the wind on Sunday morning, as they had lost a quarter of their shingles during the night. Saturday saw a bit of rain. This made for a difficult weekend, and many bugged out early on Sunday. Still had good campfires on Saturday, however.
