Drove to Socorro to visit Julie, Thor for Xmas. Got speeding ticket out of Show Low on 23rd going 78 in a 55. Made the trip in about 12 hours, but it was cold (a little snow in mountains) and my heater wasn't working. | ||||||||

About this time, drove to Tucson and linked up with Dyer. During these years he would take summer students on trips. This year we drove to SW Colorado, hitting Durango, and taking the historic train to Silverton and back. We did a hike in the area on the following day.  Hiking in the San Juans  Jefs |
