Jef and Kathy spent the night at Stevie's house in Loa. Kathy was driven out of house by cats, so we camped outside the house in a tent.
The next morning, we drove over the mountains to the SE, past aspens and such, then thru Boulder, and into the Grand Staircase National Park area.
We camped the night of the 22nd just E of Escalante. We saw a mysterious UFO later that night.

 Kathy helping Steve load his greenhouse he just sold After breakfast in Loa with Steve, we purchased a few more bottles of vino at the Utah state liquor store in Bicknell. We drove over the mountains thru aspens, and down into Boulder. This was the beginning of our scenic drive thru the Grand Staircase region.

Soon after sunset, we spotted a UFO. It appeared to be a headlight shining backwards to it's trajectory, but with an illuminated dust cloud. The cloud expanded spherically, and eventually encompassed several degrees. Probably a satellite coming down, or a rocket going up in upper atmosphere.

 This would have been a great candidate, but was probably just a grain of dust caught in my flash.
