Camping at Imperial Spa
near Niland CA with Jef, Kathy, and Holley

Imperial Spa
On the afternoon of Cinco de Mayo, 2006, Jef, Kathy, and Holley, drove from Borrego to the other side of the Salton Sea and camped at the Imperial Spa. We camped at the same campsite as last December and were the only tent campers. During our visit, Holley mothered a baby bird for a day. We spent a lot of time in the pools.

Shade shifted during the day. By late afternoon, Holley had placed her tent in the middle of the road!

While giving Birdy flying lessons on Sunday morning, Birdy flew right into the protection of the nearby date palm. Here is where Birdy continued his life in the wild.

Holley spent much time in this and other pools

After swimming late Sunday morning, we went on a little hike, and wound up following a warm canal full of fish. On the way back, we viewed some of the local "Area 51" scenery.
