Grand Canyon North Rim
After leaving Zion Lodge, we had a picnic on the Virgin River across from the lodge, where Stacey discovered a nasty biting bug. We then drove thru the tunnels, stopped for photos in Checkerboard Mesa, and drove straight to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. We were too early to check in, due to our cabin not being ready. We lucked into the best room at the lodge, cabin 301, which overlooked the canyon and was near the main building.

Due to gap in door, we had a mouse chewing on things in our room that night. We were able to sit on porch and listen to a ranger talk by lodge. Great ambiance! We had a nice dinner at the lodge that night, as well.

Panguitch
Bryce
The next morning we got to see canyon in sunlight for about an hour. We went on a 3 mile hike along the rim, at which time the sky clouded over. By the time we left, it started drizzling. We drove to Panguitch area, checked into a motel and then visited Bryce around sunset.
