| After checking out of Platinum in Vegas, drove to Zion, where we learned we could park at lodge, as we were staying there. This turned out to be VERY convenient. We went on a hike that evening, going all the way up to the Upper Emerald Pool, and getting back to lodge with the last trace of daylight. The next day, we hiked up to the Narrows. Jef didn't want to get his shoes wet, so the girls hiked up about 1/4 mile up the river after reaching the end of the paved trail. |
