We started hiking, but Kathy was hurting, so we turned around at 6 minutes and walked back to the car so Kathy could take another pain pill. We then hiked down to the Wilson Trail and hiked about 2 1/2 miles before turning around - total hiking this afternoon of about 7 1/2 miles. Noticed smoke off to the east. Ordinary sunrise this morning On the 21st, what was supposed to be a busy day at the office became a short day due to half the patients cancelling. On the 22nd, we packed up (forgetting much), bringing doggies and Lisette to Santee as Len started a massive painting job at WestStar house. We left doggies in Santee and the rest of us went to a CPR training class. We did some shopping at TJs and Jef got a haircut. We then went to Banbu Sushi for dinner. Heading off to dinner this evening - a fair sunset Halfway thru our dinner at Banbu Sushi - nobody was allowed at sushi bar due to covid restrictions On the 23rd, we took it easy all morning, then scrambled to do some chores and get ready for Eileen's celebration of life. We got there over an hour late, but reconnected with many members of the old tennis club and had a good dinner. Doggies stayed in the car the whole time. We then drove home to Borrego, arriving after 10pm. Tom & Eileen(1947-2021) won the top division BS tennis club's mixed doubles tournament in October 2007 Just before the official ceremony began This English bloke, a hospice chaplain, was a good speaker and did a great job saying why we were all better off because of Eileen Ambling over to the dining area Our table - we had the Romeos, Peg Lieb, the Wagners & Roz - Bonnie found an empty seat by Don, so we only had 8 Barry starting off the remembrences - there were about 10 other speakers Dinner starting Started getting dark towards the end of the dinner The Dows remembering Eileen - "the club's treasurer who was also treasured" On the 24th, a super busy day became only a moderate day at the office due to half the patients cancelling. Walked with Kathy & doggies once around the circle - 1.3 miles, but Kathy was still recovering from last Wilson Trail hike, so walked no more. Len & Jim came over this afternoon for lessons on wound care (Jim had ripped open his leg a few days ago), so paid Len for his work so far. Len & Jim would take off on driving trip to NC the next day, and spend a month fixing up a house there to be sold. Hector finished fixing the black Jeep, which amounted to replacing the fuel injectors, which had leaky gaskets & may have been clogged. Sunrise this morning Meter should be leveled off and headed down about now, as it's been cooler Last uphill section of trail to the Mall Shortly after starting Country Club loop, Kathy decided to stretch at this utility pole Walking up Country Club, you can see Kathy coming AND going (to right) Contrail sunset this evening - this was taken outside Center Market On the 30th, back to work a fairly busy day at the office. | |||||||||||||||||||||
