Blue Angel Peak
Around the Very Southern Part of Anza Borrego State Park
1995

A few hundred yards from the peak is an international border marker. This picture is taken from the US side, towards Mexico. Pinyon, manzanita, and nolina yucca, are in the foreground here.

Here is monument taken from Mexico. Blue Angel Peak is off to the right, and not in the camera's field of view. It is just a small boulder-covered hill resting on this mesa, anyway.

Here is a close-up of monument taken from Mexico.

This rock formation, just north of the peak, resembles either a turtle neck/head, or a sandworm (from Dune).
