We started at Mission Trails near this dam. This is about the oldest structure in San Diego, dating from about 1768.

Laura just can't stay still for very long.

Karyn and I hiked this April 9, 1998. We left from the end of Clairmont Mesa in Tierrasanta, hiked the Rim Trail, over to the north side of Mt. Fortuna, hiked over the peak, stopping at a register that had been there for only 2 weeks, and signed in. We continued down to the pass, and descended into Suycott Wash. We hiked back up to the Rim Trail, and finished the hike at dusk. We saw several new kinds of flowers. This is a great hike!
