| After hiking about 8 hours through rain, snow, wind, I finally descend this pass into Palo Verde Wash. Here I am about 3 miles from my car on S-22, and am aiming to reach the car before the rapidly approaching sunset. |

| After returning to the ridge, I proceeded southeast. Here I am just after signing the Pyramid Peak register. My hands were numb from cold, and I was a little downslope to get out of the cold wind. |
