  1. Kay Bailey - Tamale Festival is well on its way
    • There will be a dinner provided by El Borrego for $7.
    • The American Legion will help with the beer.
    • The event will be November 24 between 11am and 3pm at Christmas Circle.
    • The next meeting will be at the elementary school on 10/25 at 4:00pm.
  2. Chuck Bennett - 3 camps in Palm Canyon Resort to be replaced
  3. Diane Hydoski - Children and grandchildren are here from Maryland

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Breakfast

  • In regard to tickets for breakfast, please return money for tickets at this meeting and at the latest, Friday morning, so we can sell any leftovers.
  • Martha Diechler has volunteered to do the coffee
  • Things that will be needed:
    1. Buckets
    2. Paper towels
    3. Extension cords
  • There is enough money to cover expenses, but we need to sell more tickets to make a profit.
  • Haddon Salt will be a backup for Dann Perry to pick up tables, 2pm at De Anza
  • Men servers to show up at 5:30am, female servers to show up at 6:30am. Show up at the "Old" Coldwell Banker
Parade Float
The frilly parts of the float are to be put on at 1pm by Andrew and Ron

70/30 rule amended to support $30,000 in annual reserves, leaves us $57,000 to support projects
  1. OW Learning Center - put off for review
  2. BS Library & BSES - $1000
  3. Christmas Circle Community Park - $250 for increase in water
  4. Dennis Avery $100 - for bench in his honor
  5. OW Library Center - put off for review, but some of money from Borrego Eats will go to this center
  6. International project deferred

No one is set up for speaking for any future Borrego Rotary meetings. Anyone that knows someone who wants to speak should contact Bill Lewis.




THE OBJECT OF ROTARY

The object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster:

  1. The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service
