BIG, BIG ANNOUNCEMENT: We have become the "Nomadic Rotary":

  • Borrego Springs Resort will close, so the meeting place will change
  • We will meet at Kendalls next week
  • The breakfast will be somewhere different each week, so watch your e-mail
  • Eventually we will find a place to meet regularly. Andrew will talk to La Casa del Zorro about holding the meeting there, but until then....
  • WE are the Nomads of Borrego!

Borrego Days Breakfast:

Cathy Gay & Jim Bennett are looking for someone to do the Borrego Days Breakfast. They are resigning after 2 years of service. THANKS GUYS! List of jobs that need to be covered:
  1. Kendalls supplies the breakfast
  2. De Anza provides the tables
  3. Jim Hormuth has supplies
  4. Float needs to be put together & decorated

Happy $:

  1. Richard White - house sold in Minnesoto right away. They have all their things moved into their home here in Borrego.
  2. Cathy Gay -
    • new 5th grandchild, "Cora"
    • grandson eloped at age 34 & had their rings tatooed to their fingers

THE OBJECT OF ROTARY

The object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster:

  1. The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service
  2. High ethical standards in business and professions, the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations, and the dignifying of each Rotarian's occupation as an opportunity to serve society.
  3. The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian's personal, business, and community life
  4. The advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace thru a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.
